Opening Day next Monday

This year's GHAEA Opening Day on Aug. 29 is so big, it's of Olympic proportion! Champions for Kids is the theme for this year's event. As GHAEA staff, we strive every day to be Champions for Kids by Inspiring, Motivating, Advocating, Guiding and Educating. The day will begin at 8:30 a.m. with a meet, greet and reconnect. At 9 a.m., Chief Administrator Dr. Lane Plugge will address staff via live streaming to these locations:
- East Region - Osceola
- South Region - Red Oak
- North Region - Avoca
- West Region/Halverson - Halverson
Following opening remarks, staff will meet in their locations for more information sharing and social time.

The 2016 Summer Olympics and Rita Pierson's quote served as the inspiration for this year's theme: "Every child deserves a champion. An adult who will never give up on them, who understands the power of connection and insists they become the best they can possibly be."
