Graduation Announcements

Gavin Sickels, son of Sandi and Thad Sickels, is graduating from Creston High School. His future plans are to attend South Dakota State University in Brookings, SD and major in Mechanical Engineering.
















Joni Laughlin, sister to Devin Laughlin, will be graduating from Iowa Western Community College on May 12th with her Associates of Arts Degree.








Nathaniel Laughlin, brother to Devin Laughlin, will graduate from Fremont-Mills High School and plans to study Agribusiness Technology at Iowa Western Community College.











Dustin Finck, son of Gary and Joanie Finck, will graduate from Nodaway Valley High School. He participated in band, vocal music, cross country and basketball for all 4 years, while maintaining perfect attendance. He was also a member of the 3-time State Championship Cross-Country team. Dustin plans to study Diesel Technology at Iowa Central Community College.











McKenna Johnson, daughter of Kristen (Math Consultant) and Doug Johnson, will graduate from Lewis Central High School on May 27th.  She plans to attend Northwest Missouri State University in the fall to pursue a degree in Elementary Education.













Brendan Johnson, son of Kristen (Math Consultant) and Doug Johnson, will graduate from Iowa State University on May 5th, with a degree in Industrial Engineering


Lauren Russell, daughter of Ron Russell (GHAEA Regional Administrator) and Pam Russell (At-Risk Student Advocate for Atlantic Community Schools) will graduate from Atlantic High School on May 20. Lauren will be attending Bethel University in St. Paul, MN (BUILD Program, a 2 year certified transition program). 


Austin Streicher, son of Linda Streicher is graduating from the University of Nebraska - Omaha in May with a degree in Supply Chain Management.











Sydney Streicher, daughter of Linda Streicher will graduate from Red Oak High School in May. She plans to attend Iowa State University in the fall.

















Madison Weber, daughter of Todd and Monica Weber, is graduating from Treynor High School. She will attend Wayne State College and study Interior Design. Her High School activities/awards include Cheer, Band, National Honor Society, Speech, Youth Leadership, Junior Optimist, optimist award recipient, and various art awards.






Logan DeLaCastro, son of Pat DeLaCastro will graduate with a B.S. in Business Administration from Colorado Mesa University, Grand Junction, CO. His wife, Michelle DeLaCastro, will also receive her BSN from Colorado Mesa University, Grand Junction, CO.













William Korver, son of Mary Beth (PT, Glenwood) and Travis Korver, will be graduating from Fremont-Mills preschool on May 19, 2018. William wants to grow up to be a dirt bike racer.











Sarah Waigand, daughter of Kim Waigand, is graduating from Iowa State University May 4th with a Bachelors degree in Apparel Design. Sarah's fiance, Travis Miller, is graduating from Iowa State University May 3rd with a Masters in Computer Engineering and Information Assurance. They will be getting married May 12th in Ames.



Isaac Lidgett, son of Larry and Michelle Lidgett, will graduate from Abraham Lincoln HS on 6/3/18. He will also receive his Welding Certificate on May 8th and will walk with the IWCC graduates on May 12th. The Welding Certificate program prepares students to enter into the industry as beginning production, maintenance, or job shop welders. Students are trained in the latest techniques in fabrication of materials by welding processes. The Welding Certificate is designed to teach fundamental techniques and principles. The pathway also provides for an overview of related topics, such as metallurgy and fabrication, layout, estimating and repair. Isaac plans to continue his education at IWCC in the CNC Machinst program, which provides an intensive overview of skills necessary to perform CNC machining.



Amelia Juhl, daughter of Cindy (Speech and Language Pathologist in the North Region) will graduate May 20, 2018 from Harlan Community High School.  She is planning to attend the University of Iowa in the fall.  She is going to major in English and Creative Writing with an emphasis in publishing.












Madison Mann (not pictured), daughter of Todd and Cathy Mann (SLP-A), will graduate on May 5th from Iowa State University with her dietetics degree.

Christian Danker (not pictured), son of Andrea and Kerry Danker (Avoca Office) will graduate on April 28th from Northwest Missouri State University with a Bachelors of Science in Agriculture.

Brennan Williams (not pictured), Laura Williams's husband, is graduating from Wayne State with a Masters in Education Administration & PK-12 Principal Licensure.

Logan Wood (not pictured), son of Kris and Mike Wood, will be graduating April 27, 2018, from Northwest Missouri State University with a Masters in Applied Health Science and Sports Management. His undergrad was in Athletic Training / Kinesiology from Iowa State.

Makenzee Whipp (not pictured), daugher of Marty and Amy (OT Red Oak), will graduate from Clarinda High School on May 20. She plans to attend Missouri Western State University in the fall and study Business/Accounting.

Jennifer Seuntjens (not pictured) will be graduating from Iowa State University in May 2018 with her Master's Degree in FCS including certificates in Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health and Family Well-Being in a Diverse Society.

Stephanie Dredge (not pictured) will be graduating from the University of Nebraska at Omaha with a Doctorate in Educational Leadership.

Caleb VanHorn (not pictured), son of David VanHorn and Elaine Hoversten, is graduating from Winterset HS. 

Burke VanHorn (not pictured), son of David VanHorn and Elaine Hoversten, is graduating from DMACC and will be starting as the Assistant Tech Director for Carlisle School District.
