Partnership 4 Kids, just one organization supported by United Way of the Midlands

Arionna, Tayonna and Aaliya needed a mentor to help them navigate through middle school, high school, and preparation for college. They found that support and guidance through Stacie, their group mentor. Through Partnership 4 Kids. This unique mentoring program pairs three students with a mentor, giving them a chance to bond as a group and learn from each other. Each girl has a strong relationship with Stacie, and with each other, and they're able to discuss their successes and their difficulties openly. The girls continue to thrive and Stacie says she’s constantly learning from them, too. Together, they make a great team, and are well on their way to bright future. And this is all made possible through your donations to the United Way of the Midlands. 
     Did you know that the largest portion of UWM’s annual human service investment is distributed through the Community Care Fund, a network of programs that undergoes rigorous evaluation by a team of 150 local volunteers and subject matter experts. Over the past six months, these Community Investment Review Team (CIRT) members have spent a collective 3,400 hours in agency program presentations and CIRT deliberations before submitting their evaluations on each program.
